Real estate professionals spend a lot of time talking about interest rates, inventory, and price-per-square-foot. And those things matter. But they're not actually why most people make a move.
You know what the number one reason people say they're relocating is? To be closer to friends and family. Not TikTok trends. Not Wall Street forecasts. Life.
I think about that a lot, because it's the most human truth in this industry. People aren't buying a house — they're buying proximity to the people they love. Sunday dinners. School pickups. Emergency babysitters. The kind of belonging that has nothing to do with square footage.
Northern Nevada is becoming that place for more families every year. People are moving here from the Bay Area, from Las Vegas, from states where the cost of living has made closeness to loved ones feel like a luxury. Reno is becoming a destination — not just for tech workers, but for families who want to close the gap between themselves and the people who matter most.
I work with a lot of people making exactly this kind of move. They're not necessarily looking for the biggest house or the best school ranking — they're looking for home in the deepest sense of the word. And helping someone find that is the most meaningful work I do.
This community matters to me personally. Whether it's through the events I help organize for our team or the families I help settle here, this work is personal — not transactional.
If someone you love lives in Northern Nevada and you've been thinking about closing that distance — let's talk about what it would actually take. I'd love to be part of that story, and I'd love to help you find home in every sense of the word.
